it was started out by wanting to move some lazy bones and the need to workout, to serve this tiny nation of singapore in a year's time. so i've set out a journey to run around the area. approx 3km?
Lets Go!
and i started off saying "Lets go!" without warming up. Ran my 1st km without a problem. and at 1.5km, things started kicking in.
plenty of problems. my legs! my breathe! im thirsty! im dying!!
but at the beginning before i started running, i tell myself. don't you ever take a stop jogging! cause once you take a small break, you'll lose all your momentum and you wont be able to continue anymore. irony isn't it? i thought breaks are suppose to give you some rest so that you can continue your journey, but in this case it wont work. so i went on jogging despite all the pain on my legs.
my breathe is actually my real killer. short of breathe can take you down so easily, especially for a person with a small lungs like me, run awhile only... HELPPP!!!!! and my mom told me, "regulate your breathe properly la. the reason why you are hay hay hay is because you breathe irregularly.."funny thing is, she told me this only after i finished my run.
pace is also another similar problem, i started off CHIONG AHH!! Run for your life!! and after awhile, i lose all my steam and bummed at some bus stop somewhere. its important to slowly pace yourself.
one important thing in running is always keep your eyes fixed at your goal. i know its tough especially you run pass those bus stop that have giant posters of fiona xie, felicia chin and etc. its hard not to take an extra look right? you can run while looking at it and after that you trip on something and meet with an accident. but it can also be a good thing when the bus stop near your house have such posters.
wish such things happens soon =)
